Sonowal hit the campaign trail for By-polls in Assam to be held on October 30 and addressed various election rallies under Thowra in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Sushanta Borgohain. The Union Minister addressed meetings at Bam Rajabari, Nangolamara and Khorahat Tea Estate under Thowra constituency.
